“Don’t eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn’t recognize as food.”
– Michael Pollan
Fostering diversity in the diet, through access to an ever-wider number of plant foods, is a core mission of ours. We want everyone to have access to a nutritious and delicious rainbow of local food. We grow approximately a dedicated acre to beyond organic annual and, more importantly, perennial vegetables. Additionally, we grow food in our landscape (we refer to these areas as foodscape and food hedges), trellised along fence lines, framing pathways, or as understory to larger trees. We strive to grow food within arms reach wherever one may wander here.
