To us a “homesteading” life provides innumerable benefits; socialization, empowerment, practicality, nutritious food, a love of craft, and a tangible sense of accomplishment. We’re working at our part in re-commoning social reproduction, or the greatly undervalued work of everyday life. Many hands make light work and that work is way more enjoyable with friends!
We believe our societal ecosystems should be modeled after the mycelial networks of mushrooms that serve to transfer nutrients in the forest soils, germinating a collective resilience. When people relate in this way again, we all become nourished. We will regain a caretaking/stewardship mentality towards each other and the earth.
